The Breadwinner: A Review

by Nicolas, 8

The Breadwinner is a book about: Kabul,Afghanistan, under Taliban rule,May 2001.

I like this book because I  learned a lot of history. It made me feel happy and scared. Parvana ( who  is the main character of the book) is brave when she needs to dress like a boy and go outside. Dressing up like a boy is brave because if shes cot she’s caught Parvana goes to prison. The experience that changed  Parvana the most is dressing up like a boy.

Family is important to Parvana because she has company to do difficult things. Family can help us in difficult times by giving us ideas like how to survive , how to escape and how to be stronger.

I recommend this book to kids who like history. This book is 20/20.
